The Journey That Led Me to Teach Upholstery Differently

When I left school, I had no clear idea of what I wanted to do. Like so many people, I was searching for something that felt right but nothing quite clicked. Then I stumbled across upholstery, almost by accident. What started as curiosity quickly turned into something much deeper, and before I knew it, I was on a path that would shape the next 29 years of my life.
It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge, every project, and every lesson has built the experience I carry today.
Of course, those years didn’t come without mistakes. Upholstery is a craft where the smallest detail can make or break the final result, and I learned that the hard way, more than once. There were moments of frustration, times when things didn’t go to plan, and plenty of trial and error along the way. Back then, resources were limited, books were often hard to follow, and the kind of step-by-step guidance that’s so common today simply didn’t exist.
That’s exactly why I am launching my upholstery membership. I remember struggling with the “simple” things. You know, the parts that needed to be done in a very specific way to get the right finish, yet were rarely explained clearly.
Even now, with so many videos available, they often skip over the exact part you need most.
I wanted to change that.
My membership is designed to be more interactive, more supportive, and focused on the details that truly matter so others don’t have to figure it all out the hard way like I did.
If you’re ready to stop guessing and start creating work you’re truly proud of, come and join us. I’d love to support you on your upholstery journey.
